The Band Boosters
The Clear Springs Band Boosters is an organization of band parents, family, friends and alumni who provide volunteer services and raise funds to supplement the Clear Springs High School Charger Band program. The band booster organization is an integral part of making the CSHS Band program a continued success.
We provide supplemental funds for needs of the band, which are not budgeted or paid for by the school or district. Joining the Boosters is an opportunity to get involved, have fun, and meet the students, the parents, and the community.
This is for parents of all students connected to the band, including colorguard and winterguard.
What exactly do the band boosters do?
The Clear Springs Band Boosters seeks to support the Charger Band by providing:
- fundraising to pay expenses not covered by the school district or school;
- communications among the director, students and parents via the web site, frequent e-mail communications; and
- a physical presence to help cheer for the band, maintain the uniforms, chaperone at games and contests, hand out refreshments, move band equipment and supply unds for the creation and maintenance of a newsletter and website
Countless volunteer hours are donated in supporting a variety of band activities with chaperones, equipment hauling, snacks, water, sodas, spirit item selling, parents who helped during half-time and marching contest performances, providing Cici's nights, volunteer hour coordination, managing the trip fund dollars, promoting and securing booster memberships, providing publicity, overseeing the entire budget and organization, picture taking, newsletter, website and communications to parents, hospitality and social arrangements, our phone calling parents, organizing and so much more!
Does the work stop after marching season?
Many more behind the scenes hours go into fundraising activities, which include a fire work stand, Kroger cards, raising corporate dollars, and sponsorship activities.
How do the boosters do this?
Through the hard work of parents and friends of the band who donate their time and/or money to provide these items and more. We need everyone to participate in the booster organization to continue this great tradition of supporting the band and the band directors.
