Students who play school-owned instruments should have them checked in by now.
Instruments may be checked out for the summer at the Parent Meeting on Monday, June 3, provided the instrument is not sent off for summer repair. There is a $50 rental fee for the summer payable to Clear Creek ISD.
If you are still playing on the same beginner instrument you have had since 6th grade now is the time to step to a professional level instrument. This is something we highly recommend if you have not done so already due to the fact that it is much easier to play with a good sound and play in tune on a better instrument.

Both companies have competent representatives who will help you select the best instrument. We recommend that students be present at the purchase and to have them play on at least two or three of the same model instrument as all instruments are not made the same. You may also want to upgrade the mouthpiece. Woodwinds can also upgrade their ligatures and barrels (for clarinet).
CCISD will be conducting its annual inventory of all school owned instruments. Clear Springs High School inventory is scheduled for the morning of May 31. In order to facilitate this, all school owned instruments must be turned in by Friday, May 27th. Failure to turn in an instrument will result in the full value of the instrument being added to the Clear Springs fine and fee list.
All students who will be checking out a school owned instrument for the summer must pay a $25 CCISD Instrument Rental Fee (check made out to “CCISD-MEF”). This fee is assessed by our school district to provide and maintain instruments for students and is due at our Equipment Night on Tuesday, May 31st at which time you may pickup the instrument.
Current freshman, sophomore, and junior students must see Mr. Brown before Equipment Night to reserve an instrument .

Please note that we send many of our instruments out for summer repairs and we may not have an instrument available for everyone at the beginning of the summer. The 1st Semester Clear Creek ISD Musical Instrument Loan Contract and fee were originally due Oct. 1st; However, we have pushed that date back to Friday, October 16th. We will finish distributing The Clear Creek ISD Musical Instrument Loan Contracts to the students who are using school owned instruments by Thursday, October 8th. Please sign the Instrument Loan Contract and submit BOTH the contract and the payment for either just the 1st semester or for both the 1st and 2nd semesters if you would like to take care of the 2nd semester at this time. Please make Checks payable to “CCISD-MEF”. DO NOT make checks payable to Clear Springs High School, to the band, to the booster club, or anything else. ONLY MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO “CCISD-MEF”. Also, DO NOT combine this payment with any other payments.
Please submit the 1st semester payment and contract by Friday, October 16th. Payments not made by that date will be added to the Clear Springs fine and fee list.
