Final Uniform Wash

We were not able to get all the uniforms washed the last go ’round due to a lack of volunteers. We need to get the marching uiforms washed so that they can be closed out for the end of the year. There are many ways to help the band but this is one of the easiest! You can wash the uniforms in your home washer and dryer at your convenience. If you can help out, please sign up in Charms.

Volunteers take 7-10 uniforms each home to wash. You will receive simple instructions on how to wash them, put them back together, and return them to school.

Uniform Help Needed

FOOTBALL FRENZY

Chaperones will be taking on some extra tasks with the introduction of full uniforms starting this Friday. All hands and eyes will be needed to check hems as students get off the bus and before they take the field during arcs (warmups) at contests and football games. Someone will be asked to be in charge of the plumes, making sure they get loaded on the truck and keeping up with them at the venue. Several chaperones will install and remove plumes just prior to and after performances. Someone will be placed in charge of mirrors, and several people will install and remove the mirrors at the same time as the plumes. Chaperones will continue to hand out snacks and do all those other things that have been so splendidly looked after up to this point. Thank you all for your support!

PRESSING MATTERS

Hems having been checked and adjusted at the September 28th football game, we will be meeting before and/or during rehearsal the following week on October 2nd to press the fine-tuned hems so that everyone will look nice and crisp for our first contest the following weekend!

Please sign up in Charms and bring an ironing board and iron, a pressing cloth (or towel), and a spray bottle if you have one. Instructions will be emailed to everyone who signs up and guidance will be on hand the day of.

CLEAN SWEEP

We will be washing uniforms approximately every 2-3 wearings. The dates have been entered into Charms and instructions will be emailed to those signing up. The uniforms are washer and dryer friendly, so if you can wash and return a couple days later, please sign up and head to the uniform closet to pick up a load of uniforms at the designated times. If your student drives, he or she may return the uniforms. Uniforms will be checked in and out under your name. The more people who sign up, the fewer uniforms everyone has to lug home!

NOTE: These dates and times are subject to adjustments. If you sign up and something changes, you will get an email so that you may plan accordingly. There will be at least one more wash date added to close out marching uniforms for the season depending on the football playoff schedule.

              10/11  Return Uniforms 6:00-6:30pm
