Clear Creek ISD is honored to invite the public to a special performance by the Marine Battle Color Detachment on March 20, 2018 at Clear Creek ISD Challenger Columbia Stadium.

The ceremonial unit from Marine Barracks Washington features “The Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, the Silent Drill Platoon and Marine Corps Color Guard.

This highly skilled unit appears in hundreds of ceremonies around the world each year to demonstrate the discipline, professionalism and “Esprit de Corps” of the United States Marines.

“It is a distinct privilege to welcome the Marine Battle Color Detachment to perform for our students, families and community,” said Greg Goodman, Clear Creek ISD Director of Visual and Performing Arts. “For those who have never had the opportunity to see this ceremony in person, prepare to be impressed and moved.”

Before the ceremony, Clear Creek ISD will also pay tribute to the Galveston County Sherriff Liaison Officers who serve and protect Clear Creek ISD schools, students and staff. Spectators will have the opportunity to go on the field after the conclusion of the ceremony and meet the Marines.

The Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment will perform on March 20, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Clear Creek ISD Challenger Columbia Stadium. In lieu of an admission charge, the public is invited to bring canned food donations for the M.I. Lewis Social Service Center in Dickinson.
